Coronavirus (Covid-19)

The highway network is more vital than ever to keep key workers and emergency services moving, deliveries flowing and safeguarding the provision of utilities to support the NHS, local communities, homes and business. In line with government guidelines, essential roadworks are permitted to proceed, with contractors practising social distancing measures.

We have re-programmed our planned council road maintenance works to minimise disruption to residential streets and focus on only essential roadworks to keep the borough moving for deliveries, emergency services, key workers and to maintain essential utilities whilst many people are working from home.
