Cabinet member approval and Implementation, May 2017

Following the statutory consultation, the feedback from the community was reported to the Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Environment and Housing in May 2017. Approval has been given to proceed with implementation of the VQ CPZ with the anticipated operational start of 26 June 2017. A newsletter will be distributed shortly to all properties in the boundary of the proposed CPZ to update them of the decision and to notify of the next stage with regards to implementation of signs and lining street works for the CPZ. The Council's parking enforcement team will shortly be distributing to properties within the scheme an information pack, including parking permit application forms.

 

Statutory Consultation 20 March - 21 April 2017

The informal consultation at the end of 2016 resulted in a total of 71 questionnaires returned from the roads within the proposed CPZ area representing a response rate of 50.3%. Of the 71 who responded, 35% opted for 8.30am – 6.30pm; 55% opted for 2.30pm – 5.30pm and 7% chose 10am – 4pm.

Following the feedback from the community the Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Environment and Housing has given approval to proceed with statutory consultation of the proposed VQ CPZ with an operational period of Monday - Friday 2.30pm - 5.30pm. Representations must reach the Council by no later than 21 April 2017 quoting reference ES/VQ. Objections must relate only to the elements of the scheme that are subject to this statutory consultation.

 

Informal Consultation 24 November - 16 December 2016

The purpose of this informal consultation is to further seek your views on proposals to introduce a CPZ in the Quadrant area and Westside Common. This consultation is in response to representations received during the recent statutory consultation in June - July 2016, on proposals to introduce a CPZ in the area operating Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 6.30pm. We received representation from the Residents Association and some residents requesting the hours of operation to be changed from 8.30am - 6.30pm to 2.30 - 5.30pm with days of operation remaining as Monday - Friday.

Statutory consultation 23 June - 21 July 2016

Following an informal consultation earlier this year by Village Ward Members with regards to the proposed introduction of a CPZ in the Camp Road area, the Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on its intention to introduce a CPZ to include Camp Road, Camp View, North View, West Place and West Side Common.
