Duty to consult on 'distant' placements

If you are planning to place a child from your local authority within our local authority area and it is a ‘distant’ placement you should consult with us. In the first instance you are asked to make this request via email, once the appropriate children’s team has received this, you will be contacted by the relevant professional.
