All relevant departments prioritise the needs of Looked After Children, whichever local authority is their corporate parent, and work closely with other agencies to secure the best educational outcomes for them.
There is a long established Virtual School for Looked After Children and Care Leavers and all Merton Schools have a Designated Teacher to champion their education and act as a source of information and guidance about their needs.
