The Heritage Forum consists of interested individuals, representatives from community groups, councillors and officers who devise and promote heritage related projects in the borough.
The group highlights and coordinates heritage funding opportunities and champions initiatives to raise awareness of Merton's rich heritage whilst identifying new areas.
The work of the Forum is closely linked to the Merton Heritage Strategy 2015 – 20. This outlines current activity and contains strategic objectives focussed on the need to increase participation and public engagement with local heritage. The Strategy includes a community-led work plan, compiled following consultation with heritage providers, external stakeholders and the local community.
If you are interested in Merton's heritage and would like to become a Forum member, please contact us using the phone number or email address shown at the bottom of the page.
