You have a right to inspect our accounts each year. If you are an elector in the borough you may also ask our external auditor questions about the accounts, or object to the accounts.
2023/24
There is a 30 working day public inspection period from 3 of June 2024 to 12 July 2024.

Question the auditor
If you are an elector in the borough you can ask the council's external auditor questions about the accounts for the year that they are auditing. The auditor does not have to answer questions about anything that is not relevant to the accounts.
For dates, and information on how to contact the auditor, please see the official notice above.
Challenge the accounts
If you are an elector in the borough you can object to the accounts if you think that the council has spent money unlawfully, or if you think that there is something in the accounts that the auditor should formally tell the public in a public interest report.
For information on how to object, please see the official notice above.
