Update - Phase 2 - Tamworth Lane - Grove Road – Footway Improvements
As part of the second phase of improvement works to this junction, Merton Council will be undertaking the final improvements to the footway in Tamworth lane on the east side of the railway level crossing.
The improvements will provide a more pleasant and healthy street environment with new pavements and the planting of trees and shrubs within a rain gardens, which will be watered by the diverted surface water from the carriageway.
What happens next
The works will commence on 20 Jan 2020 for approximately 6-8 weeks, weather permitting.
The majority of work will generally be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm. FM Conway Ltd will carry out the works on behalf of the Council.
