Statutory consultation, 11 January 2024

We are planning to carry out works in Spencer Rd at its junction with Richmond Rd, as part of our pedestrian safety and accessibility improvements programme.

The measures will include improved pedestrian accessibility and safety, by building out both corners of Spencer Rd to narrow this extremely wide junction and to provide a pedestrian refuge island, thus helping to reduce the crossing distance for pedestrians and reduce vehicle entry speeds, particularly for those left turners into Spencer Rd. In addition, we will introduce some new trees.
