Benefits of confirming compliance or withdrawal of an enforcement notice
Engaging with the planning enforcement service to confirm compliance with an enforcement notice will provide you with the security of a written assurance of the council's position. This will be useful should you want to sell the property.
On top of this, enforcement notices are entered on the Local Land Charges records and will remain as a charge unless the notice is withdrawn by the local planning authority. Once withdrawn, the notice is removed from the records and will make any future sale or financing of the property much easier.
