If you have applied for Council Tax Support (CTS) already and this has been decided but you still have to pay some Council Tax then you may be able to get help under the Discretionary Council Tax Reduction scheme if you are in financial hardship. Do not apply for this if you have not applied for Council Tax Support . We will reject the discretionary claim if you have not applied for Council Tax Support.
Once you have applied for CTS and had the outcome of the application, you can apply for the discretionary reduction if you still have to pay Council Tax after that decision is made.
