Next year's charges

Council tax charges are published here as soon as possible after the Council Budget meeting in March each year.

Long-term empty properties

Changes to council tax legislation allowed councils to levy an empty homes premium of no more than 50% of the full council tax on long term empty properties (properties that have been unoccupied and substantially unfurnished for at least 2 years).

The Council has set a premium of 50% from 1 April 2015 which means that such properties will be subject to a 150% council tax charge from 1 April 2015.
