London Borough of Merton (LBM) is a public authority and has certain powers and obligations. Most of your personal data is processed for compliance with a legal obligation which includes the discharge of the LBM’s statutory functions and powers. Some of these functions are listed below

The processing of this information is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject to.
We also obtain personal information from the Fix My Street Pro Website for the purposes of Highways maintenance and repairs.
Who your information is shared with
We do not share your information with anyone else unless we are required to do so by law or it is necessary to provide our services to you. Listed below are some of the organisations we share your information
FM Conway is our contractor that manages the maintenance of our highways including crossovers and street lighting
Veolia is our contractor that collects Clinical waste between Wednesday to Friday each week and is free for residents.
Insurance companies - this is with regards to claims made due to the maintenance of the highways
How long we keep it
LBM Environment and Regeneration are required under any statute, directive or local policy, as directed by the appropriate governing body to keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfil LBM’s legal obligations and responsibilities for which the information is used, after which time it will be destroyed.
How you can access, update and correct your information (SAR)
The Data Protection law gives you the right to apply for a copy of information about yourself. This is called a 'Subject Access Request'.
