Scheme Implementation – update September 2019

Following approval to proceed with implementation of the RPW CPZ extension to Copse Hill and Barham Road, a newsletter will be distributed shortly to all properties in the boundary of the proposed CPZ to update them of the decision and to notify of the next stage with regards to implementation of signs and lining street works for the CPZ. Cabinet Member Approval

Following the statutory consultation, the feedback from the community was reported to the Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Housing and Transport. Approval has been given to proceed with implementation to include Copse Hill between (Barham Road and Drax Avenue) and Barham Road (adopted section only) into the existing RPW CPZ. A newsletter will be distributed shortly to all properties in the consultation boundary to update of the decision and to notify of the next stage with regards to the scheme's implementation.

CPZ extension to Copse Hill and Barham Road - Statutory Consultation 23 May 2019

Following a request from the North West Wimbledon Residents Association (NWWRA) to include Copse Hill between (Barham Road and Drax Avenue) and Barham Road (adopted section only) into the existing CPZ we are now carrying out a statutory consultation on our intention to include Copse Hill between (Barham Road and Drax Avenue) and Barham Road (in public section only) into the RPW Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ). This will be an extension to the existing RPW CPZ in the West Wimbledon area. The controls would operate Monday to Friday between 11am and 3pm.

Representations in regards to the proposals described in this Notice must be made by email to trafficandhighways@merton.gov.uk or in writing to Future Merton (Traffic and Highways Team 9th Floor), Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX.

Representations must reach us by no later than 21 June 2019 quoting reference ES/RPWEX. Objections must relate only to the elements of the scheme that are subject to this statutory consultation.

Cabinet Member Approval and Implementation – update June 2018

Following the statutory consultation, the feedback from the community was reported to the Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Environment and Housing in April 2018.

Approval has been given to proceed with implementation of the RPW CPZ with the anticipated operational start date of 30 July 2018. A newsletter will be distributed shortly to all properties in the boundary of the proposed CPZ to update them of the decision and to notify of the next stage with regards to implementation of signs and lining street works for the CPZ. The Council's parking enforcement team will shortly be distributing to properties within the scheme an information pack, including parking permit application forms.

 

Statutory Consultation 7 December 2017

Following the informal consultation in September 2017, we are carrying out a statutory consultation on our intention to introduce a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in the Holland Avenue area.

Informal consultation 31 August 2017

Following petitions received from residents in Holland Avenue, Beverley Avenue, Burdett Avenue, Cottenham Park Road (between Nos.166 and 209) and Copse Hill (between Nos.61 and its junction with Coombe Lane), experiencing parking difficulties in their road, the Council is proposing to introduce a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in these roads and will conduct a consultation to give the community an opportunity to express their views with regards to operational days and hours.

 

Let us know your views

The Council is seeking the views of the community for a proposed CPZ by asking all parties to submit their views through the online e-questionnaire, see the web link below. The decision on whether or not to proceed with the next stage, which would involve a statutory consultation on the proposal, will be subject to the online responses received during this informal consultation.
