Merton Art Society painting workshop with Rosie Casselden
Join members of the Merton Art Society for a practical workshop with Rosie to learn about glazing with acrylic paints.

Rosie says "I plan on doing a workshop on glazing, a bit of history and a practical session. Learn how glazes can change the whole 'mood' of a painting, or enhance different aspects of a composition. Everyone will, have a colour strip to paint different tinted glazes over to see how for example cadmium yellow changes the depth of a vermillion. We will also paint a pear, step by step and glaze different colours over the base." Rosie will provide all the materials.

Guests are very welcome to attend for a charge of £6 for the first 2 visits and thereafter £8 per visit. No booking is necessary, just turn up and pay on the door. But annual membership is still only £35 per annum plus £2 on the door, so we hope that guests will decide to join after one or two enjoyable meetings. Free parking is available at the church and we take a break for refreshments at half time. Doors open from 7pm.

We meet on the second Tuesday of the month from February to December for an interesting and stimulating programme of demos, talks and workshops. Please see our website for the current programme or email artsocietymerton@gmail.com for more information.
