St. Helier area various waiting restrictions

Update - Statutory Consultation - 3 December 2010

The Council is seeking views on proposals to introduce waiting restrictions in various locations in the St. Helier area. The Council carries out careful consultation to ensure that all road users are given a fair opportunity to give their views and express their needs on parking proposals. The parking needs of the residents and visitors are given consideration but it is considered that maintaining safe access must take priority.

The measures will help to improve safety for all road users and will ensure that access is maintained at all times. The proposed waiting restrictions will improve visibility and provide clear access for all road users particularly vulnerable road users such as pedestrians, those with push chairs and wheelchair users who for example may wish to make proper use of the section of dropped kerb at junctions.

Please see the linked leaflets below for details and the exact locations of various consultations in the St. Helier area.
