One of the main changes that families and young people will now experience is how, when and where they will be able get support. We want to make sure that services meet local needs.
Families and young people can visit our main Family Hub sites to receive help and support from a range of different sources. Many sessions and appointments may need to be booked in advance. This includes Child Health clinics, Midwifery appointments and Parenting programmes. Other sessions may be accessible on a ‘drop in’ basis i.e. Youth Clubs, Under 5’s Open Garden events, Infant feeding groups and Family Information and Support Hubs.
You can expect to receive a warm welcome at all our Family Hub buildings. Partners delivering services will support with information and advice where necessary. We expect that in time, families and young people will be more confident and empowered, by having an increased awareness of Family Hub services and how to access these.
If there is specific need or situation that you wish to discuss in more detail, then help is also available via our Family Information and Support Hubs (FISH). This service is staffed by highly experienced Early Help Coordinators and FISH sessions are delivered in person, online, or via telephone.
