Cabinet approval 10 September 2019
Following some minor changes made after the consultation, the Cabinet approved the proposals set out in the report.
Scrutiny call-in 14 August 2019
The decision taken at the meeting on 15 July was 'called in' for review by the Overview and Scrutiny Commission on 14 August 2019.
The report resulted in a request for Cabinet to reconsider its decision at a meeting on 10 September 2019.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the consultation on changes to parking charges. Following the consultation Merton Council's Cabinet has agreed to take action to improve air quality and encourage more active and healthier lifestyles in the borough by encouraging people to make more journeys by bike and on foot.

The closing date for this consultation was 5 May 2019.
A report will be written detailing the representations and comments made. This report will be considered at a Cabinet meeting at which councillors will make a final decision in the summer.
We are required by law to publish official notices about the proposed changes to parking and permit charges.
We published our proposed traffic management orders to give effect to these proposals on 29 March 2019 and put up street notices on all affected streets as part of the statutory consultation under The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This ran concurrently with this wider consultation and representations or objections were submitted as part of this consultation or in accordance with the draft orders. The consultation ended on 5 May 2019.
