The database holds details of suitable personal assistants for Direct Payment customers to recruit from. The role of a personal assistant depends upon the specific needs of the person employing them; you may be involved in personal, domestic, social or administrative support.

Formal qualifications are not usually necessary, but a flexible and friendly attitude is a must. The hours vary depending on the person you are working for. You may be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and an interview before being recruited as a personal assistant. Potential employers will ask for evidence of your right to work in the UK and also references.
