You can request a tree to be planted on council land to replace a tree that has been removed, using the online form below. Your suggestion will be added to a list for assessment and consideration.
If you would like to have a tree planted at a new location, where none have previously been planted, you can sponsor a street tree or sponsor a park memorial tree or celebration tree.
Types of tree
We are happy to consider any suggestion for species for the replacement tree. We cannot guarantee that your suggested tree species will be acceptable due to suitability or availability.
What happens next
We aim to plant trees between late October and March.
Requests submitted by the end of July will be considered for planting between October of the same year and March the following year. Requests submitted in August or later will be added to the planting list for consideration from October of the following year.
We do not guarantee to plant a tree in the location you have requested. We are not able to add plaques to or near trees.
During a long dry spell we always welcome your help in watering new trees. If a tree dies within the first year it will be replaced in the next planting season.
