Dig Merton is a community gardening and food growing scheme in Merton run by organisations including Sustainable Merton, Merton Council, Circle Housing Merton Priory, Merton Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, Wandle Housing, Viridian and others. We are lucky in Merton to have so much green space for everyone to enjoy. There are already a few movers and shakers in Merton turning their green fingers to good work for the community. They are getting involved in planting fruit, vegetables and wild flowers on public land across the borough and we know that some of you want to get involved in community growing projects, so this is where to come if you want to find out more about how to get involved, who to talk to and how to get involved in one of the pilot projects.
See Dig Merton's Facebook page for the latest projects and news.
If you want to get involved in a community planting project, leave a message with Sustainable Merton who are coordinating the project: 020 3417 0476.
Photos from the pilot project in De Burgh Road can be seen on our Flickr page.

The projects which form part of Dig Merton are run by the community for the community. They are independent of the council. However, we are here to advise you on where and what to plant on council-owned land.
