Restaurant, hospitality and refreshments

Chaucer kitchen 2

The Chaucer Restaurant is open Monday to Friday from 7am until 3.30pm.

A selection of breakfast products is available from 7am until 11am to eat in or take away. Fresh salads and hot lunches are served between 11.30am until 2.30pm.

A selection of freshly made deli produce, snacks and hot and cold drinks is available throughout the day.

Our caterers - Gosto Fino

Gosto Fino offers a wide range of breakfast and lunchtime options with a buffet style lunch and salad bar, as well as a selection of freshly made sandwiches and paninis.

The team also serve freshly ground Italian coffee throughout the day, which is available for take away or enjoyed in the restaurant or in the garden area

The minimum booking time for all rooms is two hours.

Half day bookings are:

  • morning 8.30am–12.30pm
  • afternoon 1pm–5.30pm

A full day booking is:

  • 8.30am–5.30pm

In the event a meeting that will need to take place that will run over the given times please specify this when booking your room and we will be happy to assist and provide a solution.

Cancellation charges

Bookings cancelled within 3 working days of the booking are subject to a late cancellation fee:

100% of the room hire fee will be if cancelled within 3 working days of the booking date.

Photocopying (non-Merton staff) costs 10p per black-and-white and 20p per colour copy.

Other items of equipment (e.g. flipchart, speakers) are included in room hire costs.
