Merton's Estates Local Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State on 31 March 2017. Mr Nicholas Taylor BA (Hons) MRTPI will examine the council's Estates Local Plan over the course of the next six months on behalf of the Secretary of State.

Main Modifications to Merton's Estates Local Plan

The Council is consulting on the Main Modifications to Merton's Estates Local Plan for 6 weeks from 26 September to 7 November 2017.

Merton's Examination Library

As part of this examination, the Inspector held a public hearing at Merton Civic Centre. The Hearings part of the Examination took place between 4 - 6 July at 10.00am in the Council Chamber at the Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, SM4 5DX.

Following the close of the Hearing sessions on 6th July 2017 and in the light of the council's formal request to the Inspector to recommend Main Modifications (MMs) to address matters of soundness, the Inspector has now providing an outline of the required MMs. More information is available in the Inspector's note which is available via the following link below:
