Merton Heritage Discovery Day.
Join us on Saturday 11 May for the largest event in the local heritage calendar.
The annual Merton Heritage Discovery Day will be taking place at Morden Library, Merton Civic Centre between 12.30 and 4.30pm.
This popular showcase for Merton's colourful past will be even bigger then before, with nearly 30 different organisations taking part.
Visitors can enjoy everything from exhibitions and open-air cinema, to themed workshops, photographic displays and craft activities. The Heritage Marketplace will also feature stalls from the borough's many museums, local history societies, artists, community, sports and educational groups.
We will also be hosting an amazing programme of bitesize local history talks covering everything from Afro-Caribbean heritage and World War II, to Jamdani saris, Cricket Green, bygone Wimbledon and the Daffodil King.
Admission to the event is FREE.
