Free screenings

Big screen at Mitcham Fair Green  

Over the bank holiday weekend, we will be showing a public screening of the Coronation of King Charles III and the royal concert at our big screen in Mitcham.  

We welcome all our residents to come along and soak up the atmosphere and come together with the rest of the Merton community to celebrate this historic moment. 

Timings are as follows: 

• The Coronation of King Charles III
  Saturday 6 May 10am-3pm  
  Mitcham Fair Green  
  Upper Green West, Mitcham CR4 3NA 

• The Coronation Concert  
  Sunday 7 May 8pm- 10pm 
  Mitcham Fair Green 
  Upper Green West, Mitcham CR4 3NA 

The screen is outside on grass, so make sure you are prepared for the weather.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own camp chairs or picnic rugs and picnics.

On Saturday 6 May, from 10am-3pm all Merton Libraries will be showing the Coronation of King Charles III on their large screens.

Events include biscuit decorating, crown making, story times and more! 

These events require booking and spaces are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Discover Merton’s Coronation colours

We’ve been busy decorating the borough and making it Coronation ready.  

If you're travelling around Merton, keep an eye out for our Coronation colours: 

• On the night of Saturday 6, Sunday 7 and Monday 8, we are lighting up Merton Civic Centre in the Union Jack colours. 
• Spot the red, white and blue flowers around the borough 
• See how many Coronation posters you can see at bus stops, lampposts, outside of our leisure centres and libraries and on your high street.
