All new graves are normally dug for 2 interments depending on ground conditions, occasionally we can only offer graves for 1 interment even on the day of the burial

For re-opening of a grave space, where the deceased has moved out from Merton Borough (this does not include the purchase of a new grave).
To qualify for this: evidence of residency of 40 years and over must be provided and within a maximum time period of 90 days after the date of the funeral.
