This accessibility statement applies to the Regulatory Services Hub website.
This website is run by Merton Council. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using the options on your computer
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We've also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
- Some fields do not have “autocomplete” settings
- Some items are not keyboard accessible
- Some input fields do not have accessible labels
- ARIA roles are used incorrectly
- There is no ‘skip link’ for keyboard users
- Keyboard focus can move to hidden menu items, which may be confusing for screen reader or keyboard-only users
- Some error messages only appear for 5 seconds before disappearing and are not read out to screen reader users.

- There is no ‘skip link’ for keyboard users to skip past the menu. This fails WCAG Success Criterion 2.4.1: Bypass Blocks (Level A)

We are working with the suppliers of the system to fix these issues.
