We have been successful in our bid to Transport for London (TfL) to fund accessibility improvements across the Borough. To improve pedestrian safety and accessibility to Lonesome Primary School and Acacia centre in Grove road it is proposed to introduce a zebra pedestrian crossing in Grove Road as shown on the plan below. This will reduce the risk of personal injury and provide a safer crossing facility for pedestrians.

To safely introduce the crossing, certain alterations to the road layout in the vicinity will be required. These include widening of the existing islands and the relocation of existing lamp column. This will ensure that suitable visibility is provided for pedestrians and approaching vehicles.
