Bikesafe and ScooterSafe training

Training for existing motorcycle and scooter riders

Merton Council in conjunction with BikeSafe-London - invites existing motorcyclists, (moped and scooter riders) with a full licence to participate in a FREE Rider Skills training day that offers ‘on road’ assessment of present skills, and advice to help make your riding safer and more enjoyable.

The aim of the one day course is to reduce injuries and death to power two wheeler riders by improving riding skills and hazard awareness.

Training days are run during the week and at weekends by highly qualified police motorcyclists, who pass on their wealth of knowledge and experience in a friendly and informal manner.

As well as professional riding techniques, topics covered include the system of motorcycle control, collision causation factors and vehicle security

Courses are based at  either: the Ace Cafe in north London or The Warren, Metropolitan Police Sports Club at Hayes, Bromley, Kent.

Please note you must live, work or study in the borough to participate in this course
