Free cycle training is available for those aged 18 years and over who live, work or study in the London Borough of Merton.

All training is provided by Cycle Confident within the framework of the Bikeability training scheme (formerly National Standards) by experienced and accredited instructors.

The programmes run all year on Saturday mornings at a venue in central Morden.

Courses include:

  • Level 1 - beginner off road offered every Saturday in Morden
  • Level 2 - improver and basic on road offered on the last Saturday of every month in Morden
  • Level 3 - experienced commuter on road. ¬†Offering one to one on road training for journeys to work for proficient cyclists

For full details of courses, times and sessions please visit the Cycle Confident website.

Bikes are provided for Level 1 and 2 training sessions but we would advise buying your own bike so you can practise in your own time to maximise the skills learnt. Level 3 commuter sessions tuition has to be done on your own bike.
