We have been successful in its bid to Transport for London (TfL) to fund accessibility improvements across the Borough. To improve access for pedestrian it is proposed to introduce an uncontrolled crossing in Dorset Road as shown on the plan overleaf.

The introduction of the pedestrian islands as shown on the plan would involve

1. The removal of the existing speed cushions

2. The installation of a speed table

3. The removal of some parking bays

4. The introduction of double yellow lines

The introduction of the islands do not require a consultation; however, the above proposed enabling measures (points 1-4) do require a statutory consultation.
