
If your child was born between 1 September 2005 and 31 August 2006 application packs should have been distributed through Merton primary schools in September 2009. If you have not received it, please contact your school for an application pack. If your child does not attend nursery class at a Merton school, you can apply on line through eAdmissions or contact your local primary school for an application pack.
If your child was born between 1 September 2004 and 31 August 2006, your child could have started Reception in September 2009 but you can still make an application. Please contact school admissions or see Transfering to Merton Schools for further details of how to apply.
Children with a Statement of Special Educational Needs do not need to complete an application as a school will be named on the Statement. (For further information please contact SEN Team)

As you may well be aware, there has been national publicity on the significant rise in demand for Reception places, and the rise in Merton is probably as significant as in any area.
For 2008, an extra form of entry (30 places) was provided at three schools, and at a further three schools in 2009. Our current forecast is that a further four schools will need to take an extra form in 2010.

From September 2010 places at Wimbledon Chase will be allocated to a priority area before being offered to those outside the area. for further information please see Wimbledon Chase Priority Area
Some Merton schools require you to complete additional forms when applying for school places. These will normally be schools which are faith affiliated, as they need information on church attendance or priest references which do not form part of the Merton common application form. These schools are shown below:
