The Merton Partnership is the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) for the borough of Merton. The separate Merton Partnership website is a comprehensive resource recording the partnership's make-up and public meetings, and its aims and actions. It also has a secure member's area where papers for past and upcoming closed meetings are available.
The Merton Partnership is the overarching strategic partnership that seeks to place the needs of the community, the regeneration of the borough and the effective delivery of public services at the heart of what public agencies and their partners do.
The two mandatory duties of the Merton Partnership are to oversee the production of two major strategies - the Merton Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy and the Community Plan.
Governance arrangements for the Merton Partnerships have been agreed and are expressed in the Partnership's Governance Handbook. The Partnership's performance management arrangements are in the Performance Management Framework.

The Merton LAA consists of targets and outcomes that focus on improving the quality of life of Merton residents and 'Bridging the Gap' between the deprived east and the more affluent west of the Borough. The Council and its partners will work together to deliver these targets.
All Councils must have a Local Area Agreement and the Merton Local Area Agreement runs from 2008-2011. It will be reviewed on an annual basis to ensure targets and indicators remain up to date and relevant. The 2009/10 review has been signed off by central government. The 2009/10 review and the original 2008-11 LAA can both be viewed on the Merton Partnership website.
The Merton Partnership have prepared a series of pages where partners can share information about the local area. There are pages for each of the thematic partnerships. More details are available from the Merton Partnership Information Page.
