Pollards Hill LibraryFrom October 2008 to August 2009 the library was redeveloped as part of the Big Lottery's 'Community Libraries' fund. The new modern Pollards Hill library offers three dedicated learning rooms that are currently facilitating a wide range of basic skills courses, health information and other community activities and events. There is also a large stock of new books and DVDs, the 'Pollards Chill' area, perfect for reading the daily papers and brand new computers with free access to the internet. There is also a computer room managed by Exchange Group offering a range of IT courses including literacy and numeracy.
As part of this redevelopment we are working towards the targets set out in the Pollards Hill Library Community Engagement plan which was agreed by the Big Lottery as part of the funding received.

Sutton and Merton PCT are working with the library to deliver training to become a 'Diet Buddies' leader.
It aims to provide the basic knowledge and skills needed to start a peer support group on healthy eating and weight management issues within your local community. The training will be held at Pollards Hill Library on Monday 18 October and Tuesday 19 October. Contact Helena on 020 8274 5741 for more details.
