Pollards Hill LibraryFrom October 2008 to August 2009 the library was redeveloped as part of the Big Lottery's 'Community Libraries' fund. The new modern Pollards Hill library offers three dedicated learning rooms that are currently facilitating a wide range of basic skills courses, health information and other community activities and events. There is also a large stock of new books and DVDs, the 'Pollards Chill' area, perfect for reading the daily papers and brand new computers with free access to the internet. There is also a computer room managed by Exchange Group offering a range of IT courses including literacy and numeracy.
As part of this redevelopment we are working towards the targets set out in the Pollards Hill Library Community Engagement plan which was agreed by the Big Lottery as part of the funding received.
Come and experience the range of activities we run at the library all in one day! From salsa to beginners IT, from photography to kids crafts we have so much happening you would be crazy to miss out!
