We collect garden waste for free from your property, but it must be put into special Merton clear sacks. Here is what to do:
| Step 1 |
Collect up to two free reuseable sacks per household (or buy additional sacks for £1 each) from local libraries. Please take a recent council tax statement with you. |
|---|---|
| Step 2 |
Fill the sacks. Details of what you can put in them are printed on the side of the sacks. Please do not tie the top of the sacks. This is so that we can empty them and return them to you. |
| Step 3 | Book a garden waste collection online or call our waste helpline 020 8274 4902. |
| Step 4 |
Put the full sacks out at the edge of your property by 6am on the day you have booked for collection. It will help if you leave a heavy object such as a brick by the sacks so they can be weighed down when empty so they do not blow away You can put up to 10 sacks out at a time on the agreed day. |
