Children, Schools and Families Department

Director: Yvette Stanley

The divisions of the Children, Schools and Families Department are:

  • Children’s Social Care and Youth Inclusion
  • Education
  • Commissioning, Strategy and Performance.

The Children, Schools and Families Department, as part of Merton Children's Trust, aims to improve the life chances of all local children and young people. We do this by making sure that they receive the quality of service they need to live healthily and happily with their family. We also help them reach their potential at school and give them opportunities to play and participate in the communities and neighbourhoods where they live.

The Children, Schools and Families Department works to Merton's Children and Young People's Plan. This sets out the priorities and work plans for improving health outcomes, maintaining robust safeguarding, improving educational outcomes, promoting opportunities for positive contribution, and promoting economic wellbeing for children and young people
