The agreed definition of Domestic Violence is:
‘Any incident of threatening behaviour, violence or abuse (psychological, physical, sexual, financial or emotional) between adults who are or have been intimate partners or family members, regardless of gender or sexuality.’
(This definition included Honour crimes, sexual violence, forced marriage & harmful cultural practices)

The 16 days campaign runs from 25th November to 10th December every year. Its a campaign that aims to promote support services and raise awearness of domestic violence and how it affects people.
The 16 days starts with white ribbon day on 25th November.
We also operate a monthly Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC), which discusses the highest risk DV cases, with the aim of improving the safety and options of victims and their children, and managing offenders appropriately.
