Merton Cemeteries

Merton Council runs four cemeteries in the borough, taking care of landscape, chapels, layout, burial service and management of each one.

Our cemeteries are Gap Road Cemetery, London Road Cemetery, Merton & Sutton Joint Cemetery have new graves available and Church Road Cemetery is closed for new burials.

The cemeteries are multi-faith and multi-cultural, catering for Church of England, Roman Catholic, Muslim, Ahmadiyya Muslim, African Caribbean, Jewish, non conformist and humanist.

North East Surrey Crematorium

This is the only crematorium in the borough. It is situated within Morden Cemetery also known as Battersea New Cemetery.
