Our annual budget is approximately £200m, a substantial proportion of which is spent on buying goods, services and works that support the delivery of services to the local community. Purchases range from office stationery to major construction projects.

We have a duty to seek best value and continuous improvement in the services we provide and we are committed to getting value for money from procurement.

Contracts and tenders

We do not hold an approved suppliers list.

Our contracts register and tendering opportunities are available at the London Tenders Portal.

Suppliers can register for ProContract free at the London Tenders Portal and apply for any of our tenders, subject to status. This portal is also used by 18 other London Boroughs.

During the initial registration, you will be required to choose which category you are interested in supplying.  When an opportunity is published within that category, an email will be sent advising you that a new opportunity is available. Please see ProContract Version3 Help (due-north.com) should you require any assistance with the registration process or responding to opportunities.

Where applicable, tenders are also advertised using Find a Tender. We are also registered with the government's Contract Finder portal.

If you are having any difficulties using the portal, please visit the PROACTIS ProContract V3 Help Desk or call 0330  005 0352.

Public tenders exceeding the EU procurement threshold published before 31 December 2020 can be found in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED).

Procurement Pipeline

Our Procurement Pipeline contains details of contracts expected to be re-procured and new procurement projects that are expected to be undertaken.

Please bear in mind the following:

  • The likelihood of being re-procured or timescale for re-procurement may change from this forecast.
  • For opportunities with a whole life value under £100k, we will invite quotes from a limited number of suppliers. Should you wish to be considered as a potential supplier for these please register on the London Tenders Portal
  • Opportunities over £100k will be advertised if not procured via a framework agreement.
  • Whether to use a framework or not, is made on a case-by-case basis at the start of the re-tendering process.
  • We make use of framework agreements where appropriate, as these are often a cost-effective route to procure goods and services in common use.
  • Framework agreements are tendered by other organisations such as Crown Commercial Services, ESPO, YPO, and others.

Our Procurement Pipeline will be updated on a quarterly basis.
